異種時制データベースシステムの統合的利用方式の設計

近年、計算機利用の高度化に伴い、データベースシステムにも、時間情報の管理など の高度な機能が要求されている。一方、ネットワーク技術の進展により、マルチデータ ベースなど各種データベースの統合利用の要求も高まっている。 時制データベースはこれまでにいくつか開発されているが、時間の扱いやそのインタ フェースはさまざまであり、使う側が個別に対応しなければならず、ユーザへの負担が 大きい。 本発表ではそういった問題を解決すべく、時制オブジェクトデータベースシステム と、時制関係データベースシステムを統合して扱うための基本方式について発表する。

Design of an integration scheme of heterogeneous temporal DBMS's

Requirements for managing change history of data are increasing with the advanced usages of databases. To meet the requirements, a number of temporal DBMS's have been developed. But, each DBMS has its own interface and its own concept of time. Thus, the user has to be acquianted with each DBMS. In this paper, we describe design of an integration scheme of heterogeneous temporal DBMS's.
